Using The Money Trumpet comes at no cost to you; we will never impose any charges for utilizing our platform. In return, The Money Trumpet receives compensation or a commission for linking you with its lending partners or network affiliates. We function as a lead facilitator. To learn more about this procedure, please see our Certain Disclosures About Lead Generation.
The Money Trumpet cannot promise that every lender or all loan options will be accessible during your use of our service. Approval standards are established solely by the lenders (not by The Money Trumpet). Should you be approved for a loan, it’s crucial to thoroughly examine the lender’s terms and conditions to grasp the repayment details. You are not required to agree to the terms presented by the lender.
If a loan proposal is extended to you, it’s your responsibility to assess its fit with your financial needs. All rates, fees, and conditions are offered without assurance and may be altered by the lender at their discretion.
The Money Trumpet – Key Disclosures on Lead Generation
Themoneytrumpet.com (“we” or “us”), the operator of this website and its services (collectively, “Service”), is not a lender or creditor, does not act as a broker, does not offer loans, and does not make credit decisions. Using our Service or submitting a request is not a loan application. We are not a representative or agent of any lender, nor do we serve as a credit services agent on your behalf. You must apply directly to the lender of your choice. Our Service connects consumers with third-party financial entities, including consumer lenders, debt relief providers, consolidation loan companies, merchant cash advance firms, title loan providers, and other financial service organizations (“Service Providers”). We do not endorse or suggest any products or services offered by these Service Providers. Below, we explain how we operate and handle your loan inquiry (“lead”).
- We function as both a lead generator and aggregator. As an aggregator, we purchase leads from a network of third-party lead generators and, in our dual role, sell leads to a separate network of buyers. Lead generators, including us, maintain websites advertising financial products where consumers submit Service requests. When aggregating, third-party lead generators sell leads to us, and we then distribute these leads to purchasers, which include online and offline lenders, as well as data managers, data brokers, and remarketing firms in some cases. (Data managers act as intermediaries for lenders outsourcing lead purchases, while data brokers are aggregators with their own buyer networks.) Submitting a Service request is an inquiry for connection to a Service Provider, not a credit application or pre-qualification request, and does not ensure a lender connection or loan offer.
- If we link you with a lender, you’ll be directed to their website to review loan terms before agreeing. We cannot predict the terms offered by lead purchasers and do not aim to match you with the most suitable loan. If offered a loan, the terms may not be the best for your situation. We cannot assure that lenders or purchasers will contact you or provide a loan.
- We earn a fee from lead purchasers for marketing lead generation. We use a “priority sequence” to determine the order in which purchasers can buy leads, based primarily on the price they offer; higher bids improve their position. Your decision on whether a product or Service Provider fits your needs should rely on your own judgment.
- You acknowledge that, in offering our Services, we are not your agent or a Service Provider’s agent. We do not decide on, recommend, or endorse any products or services. Our role is solely as a compensated lead generator, and we do not verify the licensing or qualifications of Service Providers.
- Our Service is not available in every state.
- Some lead purchasers are tribal entities, referred to as tribal lenders, or operate under foreign laws, known as offshore lenders. These lenders may claim exemption from state regulations, do not follow the laws of the consumer’s state, and may resist jurisdiction in a convenient forum.
- Tribal and offshore lenders often charge higher interest rates than state-compliant lenders. Due to these rates, they may pay more for leads, potentially ranking higher in our priority sequence.
- Many tribal lenders in our network offer contracts governed by tribal law with exclusive tribal dispute resolution.
- If you seek a specific credit type but don’t qualify, you might receive offers for different credit options with less favorable terms. You are not required to accept or respond to these offers.
- By using our Service, you consent to receive promotional materials from us, our lender network, and third-party lead purchasers we share your data with. They may also inform you about additional services or products. Communications, for loan assistance or marketing, may occur via mail, email (at your provided address), or phone/text (at your provided number), even if listed on a do-not-contact registry. To opt out, use the opt-out option in communications or contact the third party directly. We are not liable for materials sent by purchasers or marketers beyond our control; contact them to remove your information.
- By submitting your details, you authorize us, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), to access your full social security number, credit report, and score from a credit agency to verify your identity and connect you with a Service Provider. You agree to us sharing this with lead purchasers for verification and credit checks. This also serves as your written instruction under FCRA for the connected Service Provider to obtain your credit data for identity verification and eligibility assessment, regardless of your specific selection. You are not obligated to engage with any Service Provider in our network.
